The insurance company is not responsible to pay for worn out roofs. If a tree branch fell and broke a bunch of shingles you would be covered. but a worn out roof is regular maintenance, and that's your problem. . Most insurance companies will send a professional roofer to check your roof, and if you have a worn out roof they tell the adjuster and you get zip.

Hmm. Tough one. The only thing I can think of is to try Craigslist.com. I sold my older furniture there and I'm sure there's an appliance category. Why not try asking someone at a good appliance store. Or appliance repair shop. Then there's always the classified section of your local newspaper.

As you havent said how large the trees are etc, It is hard to advise but if you plan to use a chainsaw, just remember that they are listed as the most dangerous home appliance to use. If you get a professional in, you are covered, and they will take all the rubbish away etc. I know it can be expensive but how much value is there on the life of a friend or family Most home insurance policies do not cover injury to family members
